The first weekend in June was exciting for me in Little Rock, Arkansas, for a myriad of reasons. The most pleasant, of course, was taking 1st Place in the Swann Kohler Award category (essay about an Arkansas person).
The next thrill was winning the On the Spot Poetry Award with "Food for Thought" (topic was the use of language through the five senses).
The most meaningful in a special way was the 3HM in the Grand Conference Award II (essay reminding us of values and other blessings worth keeping) for "Reality Check" because it honored my Marine grandson recently returned from the Middle East.
The words of the world want to make sentences and I'm delighted to help them as best I can!
