Self-promotion is hard, but the results can be worth it. I spend a lot of time promoting my books, not just the new one "Flash Warden and other stories," but also my first novel, "Some Rivers End on the Day of the Dead." I use Facebook, Kindleboards, goodreads, email, and yes, my friends here on authors den. From Kindleboards, I linked up with a blogging school librarian, who put my title into her newsletter for summer reading. Through Kindleboards, I have had five interviews and also several book reviews of "Some Rivers End on the Day of the Dead," the most recent and most helpful being today's feature by DailyCheapReads.com I've given out bookmarks, sent post cards, and attended book clubs. Nothing works better than web marketing, I've found. But I still have to learn to Tweet!
