When you notice that you are gaining weight, it is time to ask yourself,
“what have I been eating? What have I been doing?”
Whatever it is you are doing or eating, it’s time to make a plan on how to stop the weight gain. It’s very easy to gain weight, but very difficult to lose it.
(When you go out shopping anywhere, any State for that matter, - you will see more and more ‘round’ people. In the 60s I think there were still ‘tall and slim’ people. After the Fast Food chains arrived, we seem to have more and more round people.
Nothing wrong with round people if they are healthy. The problem is they are not. They are giving billions of dollars of business to the Pharmaceutical Industry courtesy of Medicare which is your and my money.)
If you do not make a plan and implement it as soon as possible, you will soon have a spare tire around your midsection. And that is difficult to remove. Usually our stomach is full, but our eyes tempts us to get a second and third serving. We take in more fuel (energy in the form of fat), than what we need.
If it is a car, - when the tank is full, the gasoline you pump in will spill out. However, our gas tank (our stomach), simply receives all that you put in. The stomach does not throw it out like the gas tank of a car. The excess energy or fat gets into the cells around our mid section. The more we eat, the bigger our mid section becomes. Then the fat is stored in our arms and legs and everywhere until we become like a barrel.
Now you have a barrel of a problem because your blood pressure will go up which will affect our heart and will lead to by-pass surgery. Then the bad cholesterol goes up which affects your arteries. Then your sugar goes up and you could become a diabetic.
You know you do not want to be a diabetic.
Here is a simple way to prevent this from happening. It is all up to you. If you want to stay alive and healthy, - implement the following:
1) Eat the right food and in the right portions.
3) Eat a full breakfast, (no kidding and don’t be smart by skipping breakfast), Eat a full lunch. And have a LIGHT dinner
5) Sleep Well, (7- 8) hours.
6) Fidget. Move around. When working in the office, take a break, stand up and walk around. Do stretches, etc., take the stairs, When shopping, park at a distance so you get a chance to walk.
7) Stop rushing through life. Have a life. Enjoy a life. Take time.
