This article explains the dangers of improper breathing and also suggests better ways to breathe.

It is without doubt that if oxygen was for sell, the world would be under-populated. 

Ironically, one thing that God foresaw is the fact that we need a lot of air in order to survive; reason as to why he provided it free of charge. However many deprive themselves of this amazing healing gift of oxygen. We simply don’t breath. People tend to breathe correctly only when they are sleeping.

Luckily, economic enthusiasts of the world haven’t figured out a way to invent a mechanism that requires people to pay for their daily intake of oxygen. If they ever figure that out, humanity will be in absolute turmoil.

As a Therapist, one of the most common causes of mental, emotional and physical problems is the lack of enough oxygen in the body. People pull their shoulders upwards, bend their backs inwards, strain their lungs with the lack of oxygen, and yet leave the bodies exhausted with caborndioxide since they don’t exhale properly. The related consequences are poor blood circulation, tight muscles, strained nervous systems and stress. 

Breathing the correct way could seem like a lot of work especially if the body is not used to it. However, it becomes easier to do with repetition and consistency.

The way to reprogram your body to get accustomed to the proper way of breathing, is to wake up every morning and take several deep breathe; in through the nose, and out through the mouth.  Then continue doing this as you drive or walk to work. Repeat the process three times a day and the body will slowly store the memory of the good feeling it gets when you breathe deeply. Eventually it will start reminding your nerves to breathe deeply whenever you forget.

There are times I lay down on the floor and just breathe deeply for about half an hour; and the after feeling is incredible. Breathing relieves stress, rejuvenates the skin, improves vision, aids digestion, promotes clarity and focus, and most importantly, endorses a healthy well-being.  So please BREATHE freely well knowing that the air is complimentary.
