Final election argument in Normal Election series.

 Normal Election? - 4

I said I would get back to George Bush's eight years which are held in contempt by the Progressive Liberal element in the Democrat party. We recognize he spent 5.4 Trillion dollars and was, at that point in history the president who spent as much as all other presidents who came before him. It would be hard to defend that spending record but for the two wars his administration took the responsibility for fighting which cost the US an enormous amount of money. He, George Bush, was responsible and has never denied he was, for the decisions to send our military into Iraq and Afghanistan. But there was something else he did also, to appease the democrat congress he was saddled with for the last two years of his presidency. In an effort to work with the Dems, he helped to pass a bill for low cost medication for Medicare and Medicaid patients, which he took full responsibility for, even though it was the Democrats who pushed hard for the bill and it would not have passed without their votes. In addition to that, he authorized the spending of the first stimulus bill of well over seven-hundred-fifty billion dollars. Something else the Dems insisted needed to be done. Its possible, if you are a Democrat you don't remember these things, you only remember the need to blame Bush for such an outrageous spending spree.

Unlike his successor, George W. Bush, never tried to accuse the Democratic members of congress for forcing him to do these things. He was the President, they happened on his watch and it was his responsibility. Obama, on the other hand, has never stopped blaming Bush for all of his problems. And of course, any thing good that happens while he is President, he has no problem taking credit for. It was he who killed Osama Bin Laden, even though he waited five months before making the decision for the Seals to proceed. That delay, by the way, could have cost the lives of some very valuable men, but Obama needed to make sure he could keep his own skirts clean if the mission went sour.

Oh yes, the first stimulus money Obama was in charge of spending, is still not fully accounted for. What's up with that?

The man, Obama, who was going to be so open and transparent, has a proclivity for doing things usually done in the light of day behind closed doors and then releasing results after business hours on Friday, I suppose because he needs to get away and doesn't want his week-ends spoiled.

Like millions of other conservatives, I am getting Damn tired of being accused of racism and bigotry, as well as being called any number of filthy names simply for disagreeing with this man.

He is the most over-exposed President we've ever had when it comes to photo-ops and taking credit for everything that makes it appear as if he's the most intelligent politician ever, yet he can't even get a simple budget passed. The two budgets he deftly put his name to were voted against without a single yes vote, and that was with both houses of congress aligned with members of his own party.

America is supposed to be one of the most efficient and wealthy governments ever, yet under his command, food stamp recipients have nearly doubled, nearly fifty percent of working families don't make enough to pay income taxes, and the middle-class is steadily shrinking. Gas has doubled in price. Food is higher than it's ever been. We have enough oil and natural gas to be the wealthiest country in the world and with that energy source to give us a bridge to span between sensible research and development for so-called green energy, without forcing our citizens to pay astronomical prices for inefficient forms of green energy that are no-where near ready to be used in the amounts necessary to make them less expensive and more efficient. But, Barack Obama, in his haste to be a messiah, seems to think anything he demands must be so.

What a tragedy.

We, as voters made a huge mistake with this man. He has no experience, and will not put the right people in place to do what he believes must be done. That is the sign of an egotist of the highest order, who places himself above his constituents.

It must be us, the voters, who correct that mistake, and put the right people in the jobs to get things done.

And pray we aren't too late.
