So Far, December is Warmer Than Springtime

Yesterday it was fifty eight degrees and it's usually around freezing . . .
The Christmas season held few surprises this year except for the weather. We went for a walk after dinner last night, and but for the dark, it felt like an evening in May. I'm OK with the warm temperatures, but I hope my garden doesn't get confused. Crocuses and daffodils have poked up their heads early thinking it was March.
We're headed out of town in a few days, and hope to experience some winter weather, even snow. I love to curl up in a comfy chair with a good book and a cup of tea and watch snow falling.
I better be careful what I wish for, though. One year we visited family and were snowed in for two days when 15 inches fell overnight. It was beautiful!
