We Make our Own Bed

MAGIC MAN'S MUSINGS
There is an old saying that "If you make your bed, you have to lie in it". This is true in that there are consequences to our choices and decisions. Only in an absolute world would this be absolutely true, but this is not an absolute world,it's a relative one. Change occurs, evolution happens and we continue to realize our sacred cows are not so sacred after all. Choices are not eternal, and do not bind you forever. They can slow you down, stall your efforts and trap you in circles, but eventually there is a way out.
What would life be without death? For some, I'm sure it's the only way to escape the choices they've made or the situation they're in. Part of the frustration of mankind is that rules, beliefs and speculations about existence all create barriers to reality. Real hope is only found in a transcendent realization of escape and freedom, not in human promises, beliefs or theories. You cannot be free of guilt if you believe in hell. You'll never be certain of salvation if you have to follow commandments. Only by knowing that you have the freedom to learn to be more aware through making unwise choices can you hope to evolve naturally and in partnership with existence.
Man has actually de-evolved to ideas about God and reality because the mind rules. Someday hopefully the heart and feelings will reign again and man will again feel the long-dormant connection to existence. We are prisoners because we have rules, not because they are true
