That's What I Think

Happy Tuesday!
We are snowed in! I swear we have at least a foot of snow out here on the property! I spent some time this afternoon just walking in this white wonderland and listening to the silence. When snow falls it's like cotton balls in your ear...the world becomes more silent.
Me and my partner marvel at all there is to see here. We made snow angels, and walked together through the woods.
I am so happy here in our home and by his side. We find out daily that we are so connected and so in love with each other.
This has not been the case in my past life. It was wrought with panic and fear. I just want you to know that anxiety doesn't have to rule your life. Pledge your new year to doing the work to understand your anxiety and it's role in your life. Make friends with your anxiety. Talk to it. Get mad at it. Embrace it. In truth you will only be embracing yourself and soothing yourself. But that is what is needed to blend the fear of yourself into the strength of yourself.
I never thought in a million years I would find the love I knew I lacked. I thought I would just settle for what I had and make the best of it. And sometimes that's okay. But for me...I was able to see the stark truth of loving in fullfillment and having that breath taking zing in my heart everyday. The journey of self examination was so worth the effort.
