The Rolling Stones sang, "Can't get no satisfaction." Do those lyrics have meaning today?
Did you ever realize that a life centered on amusement and entertainment will never bring about any lasting satisfaction. From the book of Ecclesiastes, verse 6 of chapter 4: "Better is a handful of quietness than two hands full of toil and a striving after wind."
So what's the answer? Saint Mary of Egypt said this: "Disregard the flesh for it passes away, but care rather for the soul, for it is immortal. We certainly are in this world, but we don't have to follow societal values, do we?
