I Rode Maxx

I rarely ride Maxx. He is Ellen's horse and he agrees! I saddled him and got on because Ellen couldn't come to the stable today. He needed exercise and I thought I could help. As soon as I got on he turned and walked towards his barn - not listening to me at all!!!! I made him do a walk pirouette away from the barn, but had to tap him with the crop. He did his own walk pirouette to turn again towards the barn. Our back and forth banter went on for several pirouettes. I decided that if all we did was go towards the barn, go away from the barn, go towards the barn, etc., etc., then that is what would happen today, but I would win.
I did win, but I had other opinions to deal with. As we were walking towards the dressage arena several people commented that I was on Ellen's horse. The swirling attitude was "why are you on Ellen's horse and shouldn't you leave him for her?"
Yes, he and Ellen belong to each other, but occasionally he will get mom.
