Cover Art in the Works

I generally do my own covers. I'm springing for a cover to be made for this novel. I hope it will be money well spent.
I'm hoping this will be a successful venture, but then, don't I hope for that for all of them? Was disappointed to see someone bought Dalton's Last Stand then asked for a refund. I mean the book is .99! I'm betting they were hoping for pictures and there are none. Just don't have the budget for that. Wish I did. But, I was a different sort of kid. I didn't need pictures for me to be able to appreciate the books I read. Most of them had no pictures except the ones in my mind. That was all I needed.
Well, I will not give up. If I can find a suitable illustrator that works with limited budgets, maybe I will get that book a couple of pictures.
Well, I have decided to just to the cover myself. I haven't found anyone who gets what I need depicted. It's a story set in modern times. But those I contacted wanted to portray a fantasy type setting. Very well done . . . but just isn't what I need. Sigh.
So, I gave up the search for now. I have the pics I want to use. More or less. So hard to find what I really want on the photo sites. But I think I have it.
On to the next step . . .
