The Approaching 100th Anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance 6/18/2011 7:53:25 AM
Although the Harlem Renaissance is treasured largely as a celebration of life and creativity, it actually took place between two world wars. Just as it proved triumphant in spite of those wars, or maybe even because of them, the forthcoming centennial of the renaissance should prove no less extraordinary.
