Ahhh...Sunny Days and Glaring Glitches 7/16/2008 10:58:44 AM A beautiful summer day, 100 plus...and sleepless for a day over those little snafus that are part of the summer...or life. I'm a summer person--the sunshine, a little more time to write, or try to, bones that don't ache from the cold. Yeah, the days in south Texas are over a hundred degrees, but hey--I get cold at 79.
During the summer, I try hard not to be as easily annoyed, to accept the beauty all around...sometimes I do that in the other seasons, but I'll admit--I'm not as good when it's cold, rainy and muddy as I am when the weather's perfect and a tortoise finds my yard or a rose blooms with unusual brilliance.
So when glitches happen--and they do--I grin and bear it. But, being a born worrier, I can't quit turning things over and over.
I discovered yesterday that my sister Vicky has suddenly been listed as the author of my romance, Love's Lasting Song. I tend to look longingly at my listings--but obviously not consistently enough. Why Amazon changed their information or how long ago they did, I don't know.
But it means that the book shown right here on AD is wrong, and I need to go check other sites as well. Since I found out late last night, I didn't do anything until this morning--but I thought about it.
I'm also seeking income avenues (I'm not sure, given the current climate in education, how much longer my health and temper will let me teach--and guess what?
"Easy" isn't always! It took me about five hours to put a button on my RioRendezvous website--hours I might have slept. And when I finally figured out that garble of html--guess who had it wrong? Funny what one repeated character will do!
But it's summer. Yes, I stayed up way past the time I turned into a pumpkin, and my eyes don't want to open to take in the sunshine streaming in my window, fix food or stay awake as I need to.
Minor glitches in what is, overwhelmingly, a good day. In a good life.
