Riley's Day 2

Lunch at Riley's, they had been busy when I arrived at 12:59pm...Many dirty tables, which isn't uncommon, but as ususal I found a comfortable place to sit, eat lunch and watch people.
Two booths down was an older couple and they told Jenny, the waitress, that they were visiting their grandaughter here in Seaside and her children. This old couple told Jenny they were from Scotland and they wanted to know if the Lochness Monster live here about. The wife, though aged with wrinkled skin she still, through these years, had bright red hair and her expression was one that indicated she didn't suffer fools easilly. The old man just laughed a lot with a deep baratone voice that echoed throughout the restaurant...the kids, they were loud, too loud.
Over in booth three against the south window sat a young woman who looked so lost and displaced in her surroundings, she appeared as if she were from a distant planet. As she gazed out to the east across the Pacific Coast Mountain Range, she seemed lonely and lost.
The couple sitting directly behind me were having a quiet argument about how far south they would drive before stopping for the night when she offered "Isn't it just like you to have all the answers?" When he tried to speak, she quickly shut him off by saying that he need not try to answer, she already knew what he was going to do.
Today, summer has returned, blue skies, small puffy clouds and a gentle warm breeze fill the day. A good day to be at the beach.
