Back at Riley's

I went in for lunch about 11:30ish, hoping to beat the crowd, which never showed up by the way. My lunch was going to be quiet and relaxing and it was until my cell phone rang. It did not stop from there. I'm really not that popular, but everyone I called on Friday, returned their call today.
First Call:
State Senator Betsy Johnson (No relation to me)called to firm up a time she could come in an be interrogated on the radio. We actually get along fine, but sometimes she suffers from "Ooops, did I say that?"
"I have a meeting at 8am, 10:30am and 11:30am" Well I asked her if she wanted to do a lunch meeting, she got quiet, thought for a second then said, "Lunch is fine"
Second Call:
Deb, our Tsunami preparedness coordinator called back to schedule her alloted time on the radio...Deb has gone over to the dark side, supporting a new LNG Plant proposed for our area...we'll get to the bottom of this I promise!
Third Call:
My lunch is now on the verge of being cold, which disturbs me, but it was my brother, he lives in the 'burbs' of Minneappolis and mostly does not call during the day unless it's an emergency...Emergencies anymore are centered around dear, sweet old Mom, enough said. Evidently, she called him over the weekend and reported that she had an 'episode' Hard breathing mostly but according to her she self diagnosed her problem as being a bubble on her heart. According to the staff at the nursing home, that's the first they've heard about the bubble. Even her cardiologist was surprised.
Enough of this, I went immediately to the bank to pick a fight with anyone, no takers.
More action tomorrow, I hope.
