RISK ...WITHOUT REWARD

The financial lending conglomorates took a chance by approving high risk mortgage loans to the unqualified borrower.
Rationalization for doing so has sprung forth from some political enities, government agencies and the very lending institutions that started this adverse domino effect through out Wall Street and beyond. They were helping the poor folks buy homes...sure they were.
PULEEZE...When ever did so many unqualified borrowers pass through the usual approval screening by lenders? Most likely the lenders took that risk to gain high volume mortgage paper that got passed along with a profit bite by each bank & investment company until foreclosures clamped the jaws of Wall Street down tight. The ripple effect is running rampid diluting 401 k's, money markets & the like throughout the "middle class" worker's savings.
So, a high risk gamble with some greed thrown in did the financial institutions of America in. Now, even though the horse they bet on lost, they're able to belly up to the government window and collect on those loses.Will they use the funds to bet on the same slow horses...Most likely.
Will the Repub.icans advocate privitized social security after the Wall Street debacle of this century.?
