A forbidden affair

So far across the room, yet so close in every way

To look at you, one would think you are listening to every word she will say

But our eyes have touched time and time again

And it's only a matter of time before we indulge in this sin

My conscious battles..'She's not his wife, so if I really wanted to..?!'

But, no, the entire room knows of the commitment between those two

So gorgeous, so Sexy, your features can never be properly defined

The aftershock from last night's loving is weighing heavily on my mind!

Choosing the path to the exit that will allow me to brush by you...Mmm

It's no wonder you excuse yourself so you can take the same path too

The windows in the truck fog as we replay the night before...

And moments later, tears fall, as I watch you walk back in the center's door...

It's your Engagement Party, so we know, that was the last time...

Leaning back in my seat, I inhale the sweet scent my 'forbidden fruit' left behind.

Joy
