It's raining outside and I can hear the leaves rustling.
October rain.
It sounds like this river I had sat next to when my family and I had gone to the Three Rivers.

Which reminded me of our first family trip.
Disneyland.
I was young, no more than five years old.
It was the first time I tied my shoes.

Which reminded me of my sister and how much fun we had when we were kids.
Drifted apart.
She lives across the country and is pregnant.
I will be an aunt.

Which reminds me of my aunt and that time I had gone to visit.
Small town.
I saw fireflies for the first time and I was excited.
My cousin realized that he takes the light from the flies for granted.

Which reminds me of this light that flashed across the sky, one night I was sitting on the beach.
War games.
Which brought me back to the rain and the trees.
The night air and the scent of firewood burning at a distance house.

Life is a circle.

It's good to reflect on things, either good or bad, and realise that life is indeed a circle, and for some it's never-ending. Great stuff.
