New found glory in new found misery
They can't grasp the grace
Your hands have touched
All they see is red, dark deceiving red
When you see in black in white,
Living in colorless shame
No hues,no inspiring rainbows
Only the occasional shades of gray
Blended between sweet ivory and darkness
Almost captivating
Reminiscent colors, ones you once saw clearly
Faded behind anguish
Those colors deliver the red, that dark deceiving red
The red against soft pale porcelain
Beautiful strokes across a blank canvas
Almost captivating
White luminous chariots follow inevitable paths
To that place of cloudy shadows, that darkness
Inducing the red, that dark deceiving red
Crimson from vein to vein, releasing, liberating
Even a passion
But all they see is red, dark deceiving red
Blood
Almost captivating
