My feelings on where this country has gone in the last few years.

Where has my Country gone?

From a nation built on taxation without representation.

To one of the most taxed countries in the world.

A nation that has gone from the Boston Tea Party.

To taxing the people when it rains.

Where has my country gone?

From  a congress made up of farmers and business men.

To a congress made up of slick Lawyers and thieves who are

only there to line their pockets with our money.

Where has my country gone?

From the land of the brave and the home of the free and in God we trust.

To a country that cannot even utter his name.

Where has my country gone?

From saving the World in two World Wars, vanquishing  the  most evil

men that have walked the earth.

To a country that has not the spine to fight a few terrorist with road side bombs.

Where has my country gone?

From the greatest industrialized  nation in the world.

To having a product made in the U.S.A becoming a collector's item.

Where has my country gone?

From sending your kids to school to learn reading writing and arithmetic.

To showing them how to have safe sex and giving out birth control.

Where has my country gone? It has fallen from within a victim of a society

that has lost its way. Where our freedoms have been slowly taken away.

Where the needs of the few has outweighed the needs of the many. It has

gone from prayer in school to the killing of our children in those very schools. It

has gone from a pledge allegiance to the flag, to the burning of that same flag.

If this letter is a little long I am sorry. It's just a few reasons  why America

has lost  its  glory. Lord forgive us for we know not what we do.

Could not have said it better! We have fallen far, now tarnished and like many other "Great Empires" have fallen from grace....

Absolutely wonderful, but such a sad write. It does make you wonder what's going on. Hopefully one day we'll get back on track...whatever that means.

Nothing wrong with this write as you have only spoken the truth and as the saying goes it shall set you free. But since the dems are out to shut up conservative voices with a Fairness Bill what freedom will we lose next? The freedom to criticize or speak out in print if its against one party. Charvez is trying to socialize his country; will Obama succeed in America where only one party will rule. It's not far from that now but that's another story for another time.
