My daughter was actually the poem writer in my family. This came to me in the middle of the night. I felt that she gave me these words of comfort. I like to share them with anyone that has lost a loved one.
It is featured in my book "Not in Vain"

This is Sheri's Poem.

The Angels Guided Me Home

Mom, when I left, I was not alone.  My guardian angels flew me home.  As I flew higher and higher, the bright lights showed me the way.  The color of earth became bright instead of gray.  I felt happy and serene taking my angel's hand, and being lead to God's promised land.

I have no more sorrow, and I have no more pain.  You can now rest knowing that no one will ever hurt me again.  I can hear the angel's voices when they call, because of the faith that you taught me when I was small.  I hear your cry because you were not with me to say goodbye.  Just remember our hugs and kisses the last time we touched.  We told each other we loved each other very much.   Keep this memory deep in your heart; it will help us to stay close and not be apart.

Please mom, try not to cry any more tears for me, it is time for you to set me free.  Try to be happy for me, for I am now home, and this is where I want to be.  This is a journey we must all take alone, but I will be here waiting when your angel's walk you home.  I will be here waiting at God's heavenly gate.  You always taught me that this was our fate.

Remember I love you all, and no matter what may come your way; trust in God, he will not let you stray.  He will provide you with eternal love and light; never let him out of your sight.  Keep the faith, for I am here, and my dear mother, I will always be near.
