She Brings the Light
There are no stars that bear her name.
Her beauty is fluid, like the gentlest rain.
Inside her are no secrets, no lies, and no deceit,
For she brings the light,
And now at last the heavens are complete.
Her fire comes from the spirit,
A place so deep within.
Forged by the pain of despair,
Tempered by the forgiveness of sin.
Her smile can part the heavens,
Her voice can calm the savage seas.
She's the center of my very existence,
My savior, my lover, my one and only thee.
I know now I'm lost forever,
And I pray to God to never be found.
I discovered my destiny in a cloud of darkness,
Her sweet song my only sound.
Yes, darkness has lost its teeth,
And time no longer has its bite.
She will blaze her trail like a comet in the sky,
My dear angel that brings the light.

You have a wonderful gift with words. Congratulations. Let the words keep coming from your heart and soul, for not everyone is able to give them a voice, but you can.

I think you are incredibly talented, Mr. Kelly! You have many incredible gifts and when you are incredibly famous, please remember the little people that touched your life or atleast that very confused girl who for a short time anyway "brought the light" in your life :)

You do have a voice -- don't listen to the naysayers on the message board who bashed your work. You got something here that has a story teller aspect to it. I speak as someone who does both poetry and prose. I'll be giving your book a read as well -- planning to pick up a copy next month.

Keep polishing this voice that comes thru!
And the only way to do that is write, and rewrite, and post, and repost.
