Divided as two
by Elisabeth Barstowe

Saturday, November 07, 2009
Rated "G" by the Author.

Only the strongest of hearts
can survive a draught like this.
And only the weakest of minds
can sit back and do nothing in times like these.
My SOUL survival takes precedence
and I am still committed.
For you are after all
my other half:
The ONE that completes me
and heartshapes my soul.

In times of trouble I turn to you
to complete the cycle and ignite us again.
Love is equal, love is true
and I am on that train again.

To search for what I came for
a yearn for similarities.
A longing to share my thoughts and ideals
to create a mind of unity.
United in bonds of words and touch,
lips open to sound two minds.
And lips locked to fire two souls,
to die a little together.
Aiming to be reborn as one.

Wow Elizabeth this is so romantic and dripping with emotion.
We all seek to find ourselves in someone else.

I can relate

Fabulous lines portraying the ultimate quest. Patrick

Always pressing forward with positive verve to become the best we can be, and doing it with another soul of like mind. A beautifully romantic goal worth fighting for. Nicely expressed.
