Imagening the chaos, fear and tragedy of an earthquake that happened a long time ago...then peace.

How sweet the earth beneath my feet
when it is cool to touch.
I sat and looked at all the steam
I shook my head and changed my dream.

All visions spilled into my mind,
disaster stood before my eyes.
Black skies and earth shook to the core
and broke all ties that held before.

The roar and screams,
the splash, the hiss
sent masses down,
way down the precipice...

...a whisper in my ear
brought sense replacing fear
and peace returned again
uniting me with present day.

I sat and looked at all the steam
I shook my head and then...
again began to glean
a plan how I can learn to dream...
