Stand And Weep

A childs agast
at a priest's horney grasp
Hell itself surpassed.

Jihad virgins call
sixteen in all
and the twin towers fall.

Troops brutally advance
while Hebrew stettlers dance
in a religous trance.

Hindus rage.
A mosque's ablaze.
Krishna's praised

Yes, true virtue's asleeps
and all we can do
is stand and weep

You have expressed the excesses of religious thought. It is amazing how phrases from “good books” can be used to mesmerize the masses to commit hideous crimes in the name of (fill in your favorite God). I prefer a godless life where I am responsible for my actions and not going to follow blindlessly the prophets of my doom.

Your verses remind me of why I do not believe in "organized religion" no matter where it hails from. Thank you, Bennett. Love and peace to you,
