For you Dad

Fire fills my lungs and evoporates years of tears,

they now stay dry, careless of fear,

he only gets farther while thinking "getting closer",

but he doesn't come close enough,

to piecing his puzzle that has taken years for him to solve,

yet still working slowly,

pulling and ripping pieces apart, farther from the finish,

he yells and screams, waving his fists,

as does his mistress, who helps with the ripping,

I laugh at their fists, I think them of feathers,

farther he stays , much farther stays his mistress,

oblivious to whats obvious, and denying the last couple of pieces,

he's still working , as is she,

the one who bought the puzzle , years of pieces and years to come,

the puzzle will stay unsolved, as long as they live till death do them part,

while they contribute more and more pieces unknowingly,

they sit on the floor a new young face is watching,

as they sit and stare at the puzzle,

realizing the pieces are gone,

the puzzle never to be solved

Goodbye Dad
