Dedicated to all of Mankind.
I hope all people read this message and realize the futility of nationalism, the abject futility of religion, and the wastefulness of conflict.

Do you sometimes sit back and say - why do governments war with each other? Do you ask - is there a force at work to make it happen? Don't you want to ask - can we stop it - or are we IT. I believe we can bring the madness to an end. I believe we need a leader who can lead the World -- not a leader to bring another nation to dominance.

I have been having

A waking dream recurring.

A dream where all men

Are one with their brother.

 And no God or Deity

Supersedes another.

In my dream

I proclaim my relief.

To know it is my inspiration.

Therefore, what I dream forms my rectitude.

Not to be undone by manipulation.

Or lured by temptation into the Devil’s brood.

Then in my dream

Man and Earth start coming apart.

The Beast cannot exist they say.

It can’t at all, not in our day.

But the actions of men

Betray it to be another way.

Then in my dream

Men proclaim themselves to be wise.

Yet the honor among men

Ebbs like the ocean’s tide.

Convinced, they are, by the loathsome Beast

To stand apart and take up sides.

Then in my dream

I see that the Beast could be Me.

Such an epiphany fills me with grief.

I am struck down by false camaraderie.

Awake I mourn the marching of men

To a cadence of lies in a maze of debris.

Then in my dream

There are no more chances.

A shallow sounding causes a breach to the hull.

And through it the Larus dances her dances.

Her black flock flies the winged gull

As Red Steam rises and the Devil prances.

Then in my dream

I happen upon the Spirit of Man.

“Before you,” he says, “flows the spiral spring.”

Asvara is crying from the depths of its swell.

And from the valley of its mountain’s writhing.

All of my essence bleeds out from the Cabius Well.

Then In my dream,

I am floating as a single element of the Earth,

Laughing with the swirling winds at its peaks

And singing to the silence in its hollows.

“One Earth among Many,”
The Ancient one speaks.

“Be humbled,” he commands, “For you, as with all men, have

Gone Away, Into the Absence of Shadows.”

Jeffrey B. Allen
