Remembering a lover's call.

The thin thread

Of memory

To tie

Parcel - package

Of thoughts

Which remain

Securely in

The camera

Of souls

Sounds - images

Ringing of telephone's

His voice far away

Shared shock

Breathless silence

As we view

Second plane

Crushing into tower

Concerned - holding of breath

For the safety

Of cherished friendship

Of a long ago lover

In the towers of finance

Holding hands

Holding the thread

Of that day

NINE / ELEVEN / 2001
