a short poem

The pineapple is a brutal fruit

When used as a weapon of arse destruction

But peeled, chopped and dropped in sweet syrup

It takes on a very dfferent construction

As a sensuous delightful bite

If only all weapons would turn into sweets

How bright might our future be

As warmongering cheats

Faced only defeats

Their bombs exploding in clouds of whhipped cream

Their guns firing nothing but marsh-mallow dreams

And all would get their just desserts

Just dessert

David,
Both interesting and clever, I like your approach and handling, and the impact is lasting. Well written.

Interesting! Did you know that pineapples were the chosen fruit of welcome in the early days of this country??

Be always safe,
