A poem

I am the executive of my soul,

embalmed in darkness

in this moment ever-changing.

I am the creator,

I am the desecrator.

I am a follower,

and I am a leader.

Left to fathom,

I am but a product

of mine own imagination.

Like a memory of a dream,

it escapes my grasp.

Accompanied by an eerie sensation

of no human or Earthly relation:

Descending, abating;

sinking and diminishing.

Who am I to assume

that one can hold dominion

over a serpentine endeavor,

so sporadic in nature?

No human may discern nor distinguish,

for it is above all Earthly predomination.

No authority have I

on such ponderous matters.

I am not the executive of my soul,

I am but a fool.
