In The Dark of the Darkest Nights

I first try at poetry.

In The Dark of the Darkest Nights

In the dark of the darkest nights;
rides but one, single lone Knight.
From the depths of the earth he rides
on a mighty Dragon he takes to the skies.

The Pale Knight is now known
to take fights upon his own.
He rides the land both far and near
for wherever he goes, his name strikes fear.
For all those who would fight
with such a Pale Knight,
will soon learn of all his power,
for it's stronger than the highest tower.

Yet, out of the same dark of the darkest nights
rides yet another lone Knight.
For she also takes up the fight
and trys to set all wrong things to right.
As she rides in the lone, dark night
she also watches the Pale Knight.
She knows she will defend to the end
Pale Knight's right to use his "pen."

Her cold heart has melted and is gone,
his words did away with all the wrong.
She knows them all, and all his fears,
as Sir Pallidus wipes away her glistening tears.

In the dark of the darkest nights
rides two lone Knights.
They take to the skies
together on a dragon they ride.

FirstLadyKnight's heart always knew
that she must start her life anew.
And that someday, Pale Knight
will become FirstLady's Knight.
