Greek mythology always has been my fascination. I wrote this when it/my Eros plagued me through the night.

Tranquil dusk prominent in the horizon over the cosmos

Primordial deities scanned through their crystal spheres

Hypnotized and impelled with one extraordinary scene

Coaxed Eros’s help to strike his scepter and intervene.

When the moon snatched the carroty skies from the sun

Vigilant spirit descended the unknown in borrowed form

Hastily smite mortal’s breast and kissed her lips of wine

Two mislaid souls collided and planets journeyed to align.

Languorous twilight improved after the celestial’s collision

Where the marked pair found themselves in a card game

Exchange of playful behavior blossomed into a fascination

Unholy hours ‘til dawn wasn’t enough for an introduction.

Roused heavenly objects launched its magical glimmer

Worked with unusual yet giddy feelings being awakened

Judgment of each rareness crowded ones point of view

Both delivered with no qualms to bear witness of déjà vu.

And so love thrived to immeasurable heights of emotion

Affirmed their undying commitment amidst the distance

Darkness exerted its evil ways to destroy pure sentiment

Defied their moral strength and lead to disappointment.

Weakness may stirred them to tears but they know better

As heartbeat thumped erratically in a deafening whisper

Seek the empire of chaos its twin pulse in a docile scream

Faith locked, Greatness delivered unto them their dream.

Wow! When my Eros strikes I certainly do not think of Greek godsÖ But then, I am a man.
