This is a song that centers around two loves that at one time were in love. Now one remains alone and the question being asked is if love wouldn't have done better if it had a soul.

One love knows only it's dreams,

One love knows it's not the way that it seems.

One love is searching, for the door that leads to out.

One love never knew what the other was about.

It doesn't seem fair to either that it has come to this,

One because of the pain, one because there is nothing to miss.

Love that started out on the hopes of forever,

Must relinquish the broken promise, sice it's plain they won't be together.

Sorrow is a truth that takes its unmistaken toll,

And it seems love would have done better, if it had a soul.

What is there that can be spoken now?

Because there is nothing that can be done anyhow.

Everything right now is too far gone to control,

It seems love would have done better, if it had a soul.

One love still believes and holds onto trust,

One love wishes the other wouldn't believe so much.

One love has given themselves to always be there,

One love knows it's failure and wants to be fair.

One love hides behind devotion in order to not face it's fear,

One love's conscious tries to close out, what only it can hear.

The losing hand is one that they must fold,

It seems like love would have done better if it had
a soul.
