Brother Wind, I welcome you!
Where have you been?
I have longed for you in my soul.
You have whistled in the mountain tops.
You have brushed the face of the waters.
You have roared down the canyons
and rustled the grass on the great prairies.
You have danced with the snow
and the children of that marriage are beautiful.
You have kissed the blueberries in the north woods
and they became sweet.
You have stirred the clouds far above the earth
and now you stir my soul.
I welcome your cool caress upon my face.
I welcome your cleansing breath.
You have been with me always and your movement calms me.
You are my brother and I welcome you with joy!
