Just part of the uni life, and growing up..I guess

Kids at University

Hi mum . Hows it going

(My daughters voice on the phone)

It's ok here

Though I d like to come home.

On Wednesday this week if that is ok,

We only have reading

So I finish that day.

Yes mother I am eating

Dont worry about that

I have fries ,fries and fries

And still I m not fat.

I had a roast in the cafe

That was quite nice

I used the card I was given

Could have eaten it twice.

Yes Justin is fine

He won a foundation

He filmed  The Zombie Returns

Quite a creation.

When this year is over

We are sharing a flat

Don't  fly off the handle

I' ve said that is that!

I know you re not happy

With what I have said

But Im twenty years old

And have a clear head

It s true that last year

And the year before that.

And the year before that ,

And the year before that

I went terribly thin

And cried all the time

Over someone 'I loved'

Who would nt be mine.

Things have changed

I am stronger you ll see

I would nt be weak now

It just is n't me.

I know what you re saying

But you don't have to shout

I know it will will work

Beyond shadow of doubt.

Yes it is the same boy

 Justin is his name

It was nt his fault

I dont want you to blame

Him for what happened

Over the past couple of years

When I could nt eat

And shed all those tears.

I know I ll look back

As you say you do now

You did n't listen to your mother

You suffered,

And how!

You had plenty of boyfriends

Worn the Tshirt

Been through the crap

And terrible hurt.

I tell you now mum

It is really true

I would have listened

......If I had been you.
