Dedicated to Kevin Roy Dickison
May 1961 - October 2009

Today you left us yo go away,

To walk in heaven and forever stay.

You took with you our laughter,

Leaving us with many questions after.

Why did you have to go?

Why does it have to be just so?

It is not fair is what we all say,

Because we wanted you to stay.

I'm left without answers and with fears,

Why you are there and not here?

I that with Uncle Charley you play,

Out of your wheelchair, to run, to play.

As I think of everything you will not see,

But unfortunately, thats the way it has to be.

I know that one day I will see you again,

Do I have to wait til the end?

It's not fair that you went away,

When all I wanted was for you to stay.

I know you don't like to see me cry,

But to you, I can't say goodbye.

One day with you, I will forever stay,

But that day is so far away.

My little boys and I have broken hearts,

Helping us to heal, where do I start?

I'm left to help my mom understand,

Why everyone is dealt this hand.

Now you're watching us from above,

With unconditional friendship and love.

Please remember that I will forever love you so,

That is something I don't want to let go.
