Psalms of My Heart

my foster father's music
your saxophone, i miss
its serenades beside my bed...
as you rehearsed for your band...
the music it used to play...
has not really faded away...
i am drawn closer to you,
because my heart recounts ..
the memories of a dad
who taught me to hum my favorite hymn...
your music gave me hope that
someday i'll see you in that Great Paradise..
'though we won't recognize each other anymore...
i know of the psalm that led me to this
My Heart Still Sings
(a father's response to his daughter's psalms)
The music you talked about
Still plays in my heart
The brass sax
How I want to play it once more...
I want you to hear the music again
The music you thought you accidentally heard
But you are exactly the reason why I used to play
the saxophone at the time you went on your bed
The psalms you've heard were meant to serenade you
Oh that music, I want to stay in your heart
to never fade and to forever remain...
That music of His amazing grace
That music that caused the blind to see
That music that saved a wretch like us
That music that soon will lead us home
That music that voices the love of the Father to His child...
Someday, we'll meet here in the Paradise
Though we won't recognize each other anymore
It's a bliss knowing that we'll be singing that psalm together...
To worship the Greatest Musician of all times...
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
