just a thought

Sometimes memories overshadow those things that are apart of all we know.

Muddy water drains the spirit and flows with the tides of life, as if they were so damn pronounce.

The dike can stand no more, close the locks lost love, hopes that never can be real , struggle silent heart there is no chance.

It is the muddy water that makes us who we are that never ending flood of musical notes that belongs to someones else hope

Sometimes we want more then life can give us and rebel, rebel when the moist tears fall upon the last curtain call, such a sad life.

And they say it is our life ,it is our past that shapes the sails that sends us upon our way.

It is the muddy water the clay between our toes that makes us who we are each and every day. Damn the ride into the night, to hell with the ghost that wont let us go, so I shall cry and lay in the muddy water that is my life, and watch another day sail away.

Simply lovely...Here the snow is falling softly as I read your words..I love the first line...so true. My true love passed away after a few months of illness after so many wonderful years.. I thought we would grow old together...Just a kiss from him now to fill my day, what a gift that would be..

Hugs, Diana

Yes but snow can and does stay awhile. So can a lasting love. I think your writing has not lost any of its luster. Good job on a well crafted poem.

GOD BLESS
