There's nothing more revolting than......

...a slab of 'lard'.
It's even hard
to look at one these days, it makes me heave

though Mum and I
in days gone by
would use it every day.  I can't believe...

...it didn't kill.
Perhaps it will.
It may lie somewhere deep inside, collected.

So, though I'm loyal
to low-fat oil
I'm praying that I haven't been affected.

Blimey, I wonder how much is poppycock. My Grand parents and mine used lard, ate dripping on bread they all lived to be 90-ish, healthy and my folks are doing well in their mid eighties.
We've been afflicted with fear, not affected by fats.
Nice take on todays food confusion and fads.
