Small, scared and all alone

This wouldn’t be happening if mom were home,

The lights turn out and I fade away

I know what he is doing is not for play

The pain the suffering if only to bear

For soon it will be over and he will leave over there

Through the door from which he came

Into the night. But to come again.

This game he plays is not fair

I am only a child

And do not dare

To tell the world of the things he does

While mom is away and it’s just us

He is big and I am small

And the times I resist

Are not good at all

For the abuse is bad and the beatings are worse

Must I always live with this curse?

It has been many years since it all did end

Yet in my mind

I live it over again

Never to escape the pain and the fear

That was placed in my life when no one could hear

To fight the battle in my head

And not remember the things he did

To not still cry

And feel the pain

Or live those nights all over again.

Yes. This is a poem of a savage act and is dealt with with a tingling, haunting, sorrow that reaches out and grabs you by the throat.

I have lived through abuse and it made me stronger. Abuse of anykind is just awful but the pictures in your head never goes away. You can only put them in the back of your mind and pray that's where they stay. ((Hugs)) You might want to check out my site for the stories that I write. Abuse that doesn't seem to go away.

I never knew that. My heart's filled with anger towards that filth. You deserved a good and loving father, not that vile devil. You have a good one now, one that loves you and one that has laid his life down so that he could heal what I couldn't. He alone can take the pain, and give you joy in it's place. His love is true, his love is for you. Cling to him, he will not fail you. He has not failed me, eventhough I currently walk through the valley of death, His rod and staff, they comfort me. They will comfort you. But you have to CLING to him, don't walk it alone.

this is a wonderful heartfelt and painful write. How sad that monsters like this are loose in our world. Free to do their damage and taint the souls of the innocent.
