As I look out at the expanse of it;

The vast, green, bold of it;

I ponder how, I wonder why,

Could it be simple ignorance? But, No!

It just could not be.

No one is that simple to claim they did

not see. They did not know they were

hurting it, this beautiful land and sea,
for which God gave to you and me!

Will they ever learn, or is it too late?

We cannot just sit by and watch it,

we can't just sit and wait!

Go forward with a stand and a voice;

tell it like it is! For this land is

truly a gift! We need to treat it so!

Teach our children more than just cope.

Give their inner beauty to shine and

give us hope!
