With mine eyes I saw the Desert,
I saw the quite mystery land,
I saw the magic of sunset
casting shadows across the sand.
I saw the beauty never quite captured,
by great artists of worldly fame.
I heard the lonely wind's whisper
helping the sand dunes make their change.
I saw the mountains forever reaching
with painted fingers towards the sky.
I saw the stars so gaily dancing
around the moon that rides on high.
With wandering eyes I searched the valleys
and traced the crest of distant hills.
The mammoth beauty of that great picture,
made my heart stand nearly still.
God made this land for the dreamer
and here he spread his magic touch
to free the mind of worldly troubles
and that alone should be enough.
