                     The Attack

Heed the roar of the invading monster,

as its wicked reign travels the land.

With a crack of its mighty light saber,

It aggressively strikes for command.

A presence that bears a bitter chill,

from its breath that leads the way.

It seizes hearts with a scary thrill,

rupturing the firmamental spillway.

It drenches the terrain as it assails,

splitting trees with an electrical axe.

Ferocity inflates as the beast exhales,

impaling with ear shattering cracks.

Power to turn daylight to twilight,

or to vibrantly explode the night.

Breath of a dragon that can ignite,

a fiery havoc from a flash of might.

The beast is attacking our homestead,

and the dog is cowering under the bed.

The children's expressions show dread,

as the thunderstorm passes overhead.
