Memories

You have left this world
and I must take this path of memories, the path that takes me back to you and me
when yesterday your baby fingers cluched my heart
and gave me reason to carry on.
Now you have gone behind that secret curtain
and left me on a strange and lonely road
that holds memories of your childhood
to part that curtain many times
when I hear your voice call my name. I see the light behind your smile
each time you said goodbye, and I can only hold you in my heart and remember all the ways you said you loved me
and gave me memories that are my treasures of today
I look forward to the time the curtain part forever
and I will hold you once again my son
and tell you that I love you
and have felt that awesome love
since I first knew that you rested beneath my heart, and my memories will always hold you there My son
until my Savior guides my footsteps home. And so, it is not goodbye, but just so long until tomorrow.
Your Mother----Mary Edwards

Mary,

This is so touching and heartwrenching. I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose a child. God Bless You and help you in your time of sorrow.
