The wind produced an eerie sound
As darkness filled the sky.
Quietness could no longer be found
As debris flew precariously by.
The stillness that had earlier prevailed
Was noticeably distant now.
Nerves of steel that were once detailed
Were frayed -- Does one wonder how?
It seemed as though no end was in sight.
Anxiety was everywhere displayed.
Would there ever be an end to the fright?
Would all, forever, be afraid?
Then, in an instant, the howl was abated
A calmness crept quietly over the land.
Where once there was fear, we now were elated.
We now would God's mercy understand.
