If Scotland belonged to China
Loch Lomond wouldn't be free
No right to roam as in Scandinavia
There'd be a toll gate, an entrance fee.

Their good at making money, are we?

If Scotland belonged to England
There'd be one law for the rich,
And one for you and me: Do you want
To doff your cap, MacDonald, McGregor,
McPhee?

If Scotland belonged to Europe
We'd have butter mountains
And wine lakes. I don't know
About the Euro. Maybe the United States!

If Scotland belonged to the world
The Scottish flag would join the nations
I could show Chinese friends
Where my homeland actually is ....

Where Arthur's seat actually sits.
Or we ready to cross the Rubicon?
