Every time I grasp your touch you move way too much

Once skilled at countering my loving Now you push away my hugging

Calculated so it seems, Denying our romantic dreams

Paybacks continue like cause and effect When will I ever get you back?
Please forgive my imperfections As I deviate from your directions

I need no collar With number and address

But only for you to only notice That I still can impress you

Like when you wanted me so much as When I first had grasped your touch
I love you still Can you see that?

Even tough we are good autocrats “Enjoy” is the word we have to learn

And the concept of taking turns Knowing there is still hope that

We will not run out of rope And I will make sure To grasp your touch

Because I still love you so much

from my cd "woodgrain waves"
