Memories While In The Womb

Yes, I remember being born...

Fond Memories In The Womb

A surge of joyful anticipation filled my heart and soul, as

my tiny body thrust upward, expectantly,

in the vaguely lit solace of Mother’s womb.

Focusing intently to mother’s muffled tones

that rose and fell;

It seemed a troubled conversation she held.

Quiet forgetful rest overtook me once again…

Abruptly awakened by painful pressure;

my very struggle for life.

A narrow violent passage that in time,

gave way to brilliant light!

Through blurred vision a human form appeared; an alien of sorts, that stood tall in the doorway

with a gentle smile in the cold operating room.

The doctor held me upside down above

Mother’s pain filled quivering form,

and boldly exclaimed with certainty, “It’s a girl!”

Dear Mother cried with joy as she opened wide her arms

and welcomed me with a lifetime of unconditional love.

Each life is a masterpiece, a seed with a story to tell!

Each person matters dearly in the Kingdom of God.

Hopes and dreams begin in the garden of the womb...

Choose life dear one… share love.

This fascinating journey to the outside world is a joy to read. Indeed, each life is a masterpiece. To think that God forms each one in the womb (Psalm 139) boggles my mind!
Quoting David Jeremiah, "God loves you; He always has; He always will!"
And btw, newborn babies do recognize mother's voice.
Beautifully written, Laurie!

An interesting insight from within the womb. I'd like to see the movie. ;-)
