THE SACRIFICIAL CANDLE
Have you ever watched a candle, as it sacrificed its life
As it gives to you a light, so you may see
To light your path and show to you, the dangers, traps, and strife
As it burns, with all its power, for you and me.
Have you ever watched a candle, as its tears run down it side
Have you ever touched the tears, and felt the pain
Have you ever seen the flicker, of a candle in the wind
And the way the battle rages, with the flame
Have you ever stopped and looked at, the building of the tears
Have you ever watched the tears, before they fall
Have you seen the ragged landscape, of the shell it leaves behind
Of a candle, who spent its life, and gave its all
If we only understood what it is, to give our all.......
