Bittersweet Farewell

Sweet breezes are the only lips I kiss today

Shred the papers of a broken heart,

Remember only joy.

Bittersweet farewell,

When will I see you again?

Your eyes were tempests,

A storm upon the sea,

A storm inside your heart,

When will you open up for me?

Your blood is sweeter

Then a thousand drops of rain,

There are clouds upon the sky,

They’re foggy clouds.

Bittersweet farewell,

When will I see you again?

I tripped over your memory today,

It haunts the ground I walk on,

I found myself falling into open arms,

Remembered your voice as it called my name.

Bittersweet, it’s such a bittersweet farewell,

Tell me, when will I meet you again?

I’ll wait here for you,

Return before one of us must go,

Please hold me close,

Just one more time.

When will you recognize the beat,

As I remember you?

You’re stuck inside yourself,

Open up for me.

Bittersweet farewell,

Will I ever see you again?
